Naked {un-iced} Cakes are super easy and so much fun to make! They take the stress off of making a “perfectly” iced cake! Perfection is a bit over-rated if you ask me anyways:)
Divide vanilla cake batter among two 8 in. pans and bake on the middle rack of the oven until a tester inserted in the center of each cake layer comes out clean.
While cakes are cooling, place Whipped Frosting in a piping bag fitted with a large start tip. Once cakes are cooled, assemble them by trimming any doming with a sharp knife. Place one layer (cut side up) on your cake stand. Frost the top and place your second layer over the first.
Make mini Bunting by punching holes in the ends of the printable bunting and use twine/ribbon to attach it to two wooden skewers/lollipop sticks.
